Working first shift today. Tired, irritated, and just not amused with anything. I really need to switch my off tour. I worked third shift for over three years prior to working here and thought I could handle doing one here and there. It just isn't worth it. It seems as though if you have never worked third shift, you shouldn't be in charge of a schedule. My schedule gets so screwed up it's not funny. It appears that the only thing that matters to supervisors is that it looks good on paper.
Talked to my supervisor about switching and she said it shouldn't be a problem. HOORAY.
Wife actually enjoyed her gifts yesterday. We ended up going out to dinner. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Tonight we'll be going out to dinner again. It will definitely be a good time, we're going to The Olive Garden. That's if we make it, it's snowing hard right now. My mother-in-law is insistent on taking us out though. I guess we'll see.
Back to the grind stone.
